About Us
The four co-founders of KnowledgeMetrics met while employed at a large software development firm that performs contract work for one of the largest educational publishing firms in the world. They came from diverse backgrounds in the fields of technology and education. Each held positions that exposed them to the growing role of online Learning Management Systems (LMS) in delivering content and tracking student progress.

KnowledgeMetrics is a developer of LMS and related components for use in both schools and corporate training programs. In keeping with our core belief that people are naturally good at learning and that well-designed and implemented technology creates the optimal path to efficient learning, our services help clients develop technology tools that meet the needs of learners.

What Makes Us Different
Today's students and workers are more diverse than at any time in history. Current technologies, created from the convergence of computing, telecommunications, and multimedia production, greatly expand the opportunity for individuals with different learning styles to acquire the same knowledge in different ways. Our approach is to design and develop tools that make the process of learning enjoyable and empowering. We approach each new project as though it were an adventure and hope to provide a similar experience for the learners using the tools we develop.

Not all aspects of LMS address the adventure of learning. Much of an LMS is devoted to content management, student progress tracking and assessment, and certification. There are privacy issues and the need to interface with existing IT infrastructure. And, as is the case in any complex IT project, there are issues of cost and timely deployment.
